Pixsys CNV520 protocol allows to connect several Modbus RTU devices over RS485 to the Ethernet network with Modbus TCP/IP protocol without configuration tables.
With the CNV520 converter, it is therefore possible to connect a Modbus TCP/IP master (client) with one or more Modbus RTU slaves.
Through the available configuration interfaces (built-in WebServer, Modbus TCP/IP registers, Windows Device Finder PC application) it is possible to configure options on the Modbus TCP/IP side (IP address, Net Mask, etc.) and on the Modbus RTU side (baud rate, serial format, time out ..).
CNV520 is equipped with one analog input 4-20mA, one digital output and 2 digital inputs, which can be activated and used as additional resources beside the protocol conversion function.
Signaling LEDs allow monitoring of system operation, Ethernet activity and data flow on the RS485 serial line.
The device is DIN-rail mountable for space optimization within the control cabinet. Maintenance and wiring are facilitated by the removable screw terminals.
CNV520 ideally extends TCP/IP communication to Pixsys devices equipped with native ModbusRTU but it supports also third-party instrumentation.
